I am so happy for you family that Parker has finally be able to have his surgery. Since your story aired on the news back in the fall, I was so touched, that I have been following his progress through your blogs and pictures. I even brought the coupons to Chili's and passed out extras to random tables of people I didn't know because I saw how special Parker is and wanted to help in any little way I could. My prayers will continue for your family for complete healing and recovery! God Bless, Jess

Parker/Lindsey/Dustin: Based on my info. things are going according to Hoyle. Lindsey, I sure hope now that you are walking you will be feeling better each day. When I had my heart by-pass I sure thought I would never be able to walk normally again. I do believe your surgery from a physical stand point is even more challenging. I'm sure glad you are close to Parker and can now see him often. I continue to pray for all of you, including our church, and a speedy recovery for you and Parker. Dustin "hang tough" I know what it's like to just wait in a hospital!!   Gramps&Great Gramps

Glad to hear everybody is in close proximity now and that recovery is continuing to progress..hopefully Dustin is resting too!! Big hugs for all of you for being so amazing! Love Renee

Glad to see your both doing better, I read the blogs every day. Thanks again for keeping us updated.
Kelly W
Praying for a good day today with little pain and some good rest for all three of you. Lindsay I hope that just getting up and out of bed is getting a little better for you. I promise that it gets better and a little easier each day. It was good to see that you were able to get out and see Parker a few times. I remember my first few days at the hospital just standing up and walking to the door and two steps out into the hallway was exciting and VERY tiring. Before you know it you will be making laps aound the hospital floor. Take care of yourself and rest as much as possible now before Parker is up and on the run.
Nicole and Ta
We are so glad to hear that thing seem to be going well. We will keep you guys in our prayers. Dustin thanks for keeping everyone updated and we are happy that things are going well for you , Lindsey and Parker!! Nicole and Ta

I have been checking the updates hourly just to make sure I have the MOST updated info. on my favorite people and passing it along to J. Gold. Hi! Saw Parker in the COTA newsletter. What a smile! GOOD LUCK with the living donation. How wonderful that Mom is a match! My daughter Caroline is 7 months out of her liver transplant and she is doing great! Transplantation is a miracle!!! Will pray for great success for your family.
Maggie Bedig
Hello! My name is Maggie and I read about your son on the COTA newsletter. What an amazing story! Sounds like he is a real fighter and you guys are too. My son is 16 years old and just had his transplant on November 5th. He too was on peritoneal dialysis prior to transplant. It was challenging enough to go through that with a teenager--I can't imagine what it is like with a baby! I will keep you guys in my prayers and know that everything will work out great for your family.
Stephanie Key
Hello Scaife family! Parker is so blessed to have you as his family. When I read your story, it brought back many memories for me of my son Major. Did Parker have posterior uretheral valves that caused the renal failure? I would love to talk with you more about our similar experiences. PD was a way of life for Major from day 4 of life until he received his transplant on 7/7/08. We also did bladder stretching for 7 months. I will keep you in my thought and prayers. Stephanie Key www.cotaformajork.com stephkey5@gmail.com
Tim and Pam
Prayers and help from Chicago Parker! You can do it. God healed my brother and he is doing it everywhere for those that believe! Everyday I saw him walking out of the hospital and bills paid and it happened. God wants everyone praying for Parker to believe and it shall be done. Stop, close your eyes and see him and his family doing the things they will do together and those events will come. May Jesus Christ and his presence be on you and your family and look to results not the lack. Be bold and he will encamp your health. "Thanks God for being there in Parker's home, health and family. Thank you for building his body everyday. Thank you for the future trips and vacations he will take as he grows into a healthy life and God bless all of those reaching out to Parker so that they can continue to reinforce their trust in you and your power to heal - even today! Amen!" Tim and Pam

Hi! this was forwarded to me, I just read your brief story and I know how it is having a son who is on PD. My son was on PD 12hours a day before he had his kidney transplant he was two years old at that time. He just reached his 5 years milestone of his kidney transplant. I am just wandering while my son was on dialysis he was covered my medicare/medicaid that was his primary insurance and our insurance was secondary. All of his dialysis and meds were covered by the medicare/medicaid and he was on PD a little bit over a year. I live in Menomomonee Falls my email is czablan@hotmail.com if you have any questions my sons donor is my husband's cousin. I'll be praying for you and your family.
Kelly W
Hi - I am new to your site and very familiar with COTA and with being a kidney donor. I donated to my friends/neighbors daughter on May 13,2009. Our story was in the Journal Sentinel by Jim Stingl on mothers day. I had my surgery over at Froedtert Hospital, Dr Roza was my surgeon and I was able to recover at Children's Hospital WI with a wonderful group of nurses taking care of me. I donated my left kidney via an open nephrectomy and it was an incredible experience. Lindsay - I would love to share my experience with you and everything I have gone through. My coordinator was/is Shelley Chapman and I have dealt with Jennifer a few times. They are both wonderful! Please send me an e-mail if you would like to talk - cookie5046@aol.com. I wish you all the best on your journey to get your beautiful son a new kidney. Please visit www.keepmirasmiling.com (another COTA site) to see her story, she is my beautiful kidney recepient who is now dialysis free and doing fantastic! (she was on 12 hrs a night)

Dear Dustin and Family What beautiful family you have. I want you to know that you will be in our thoughts and Prayers and if there is any thing we can do for you we would be an honor to. Kathryn U.
As a family who have survived serious health issues with our own baby (liver surgery at 5 1/2 weeks old), I know what you are going thru. Our own son is now a healthy 8 year old, 3rd grader and a karate student. He has had over 25 stays at Children's Hospital from 4 weeks of age and has had way too many close calls. It was a lot of sleepless nights. Remember that everything happens for a reason and stay strong, there is power in prayer. Parker is adorable and you are very blessed to have him. We will be keeping you in our prayers.
Cheri P.
What a beautiful little boy! I just saw an interview with your family and am so touched. I'm listening with a smile to the crazy chaos that erupts in my own home with my own little guys, aged 4 and 1 and cannot even imagine the struggles you must be going through. I am wishing you all the luck and good fortune in the world and will follow your blog to see when and where I can help. I would love nothing more than to bring my own family to an event that will benefit you and yours. I'm not big on praying, but this may be just the kind of story to take me back to it. You will be in my thoughts... please hold your heads high and stay strong for each other through this. Hugs to you all. Cheri
Grandma Scaife
Parker stole the show, he was as beautiful on TV as he is in person. Thank goodness for George Mallet and WTMJ TV!! Love Grandma

We are praying for you and hope that there is a miracle in the works for you and your family to help Parker.
